As DJ Immaterial, Chicago-based artist Erik Fure makes playful and melodically rich electronic music with inflections of house, trance, and electro. In his DJ sets, the joy of musical discovery is palpable as he spotlights the connective tissue between lush house, gentle trance, 2000’s tech-house, and outsider dance-pop gems. As a musician Erik has played in various bands and is currently one half of “Immaterialize” – a dream pop project with frequent collaborator Lipsticism.
