Don Crescendo is a Carolina-born, Chicago based performer, producer, and DJ that blends sounds and cues from the pulsating bass and beats of house music, the eclectic nature of new wave and r&b’s smooth and emotive approach to craft club-influenced dance-pop and create atmospheric dancefloors that are as groovy as they are ethereal.

With an eclectic background spanning an electropop mixtape trilogy in 2017–Rough, Raw, Ready;–releasing an experimental, field recording-based beat tape, Displacement Dissonance; producing for artists along the East Coast from South Carolina to New York; viral remixes of Solange, Aaliyah, and Megan the Stallion, and DJing throughout Chicago since 2019 including his current residency, Late Nite at The Whistler, Don’s musical imprint can be felt far and wide.

Meet Me Upstairs is a free, weekly dance party held in the Upstairs Lounge at Schubas. The event takes place on Fridays from 9pm to 1am. All are welcome.
