Meet Me Upstairs is a free, weekly dance party held in the Upstairs Lounge at Schubas. The event takes place on Fridays from 9pm to 1am. All are welcome.

Heathen Disco brings a freeform, primordial mix of danceable/social music, freed from strict genre conventions. Disco before it was disco, R&B, funk, house, soul, postpunk, guitars, wavo synths, dub, leftfield electronics, strict and loose rhythms, and everything in between will have you shakin’ it, running up to the decks and asking what that track was, falling for the art of switching it up, and remembering the kind of fun it used to be to go out.

Heathen Disco is directed by Doug Mosurock, who’s hosted a radio show of the same name on CHIRP Radio 107.1fm Sundays 9-midnight since 2015, with two walls and a closet’s worth of records. He’s got 30 years under him of DJing in bars, clubs and on the air in Chicago, NYC and elsewhere, with previous local gigs at The Owl, Empty Bottle and Lost Lake.
