With her vivid storytelling, poetic wordplay, genre-defying productions, and unique voice, Madilyn Mei (she/her) has made waves since she was a young teen. Thanks to her steady stream of new releases, and massive followings across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Spotify, the 20-year-old Arizona-based singer-songwriter is quickly becoming known for her innovative indie-folk twist on the bedroom pop genre.

Only 2 years since releasing her first original music, Madilyn (a.k.a. Madi, Mads or Madders) has built an immersive, comforting, whimsical, and constantly fun world around her music, telling stories about video games, grade-school talent shows, missed connections, and escapist cosplay, while using clever language to implant a relatable deeper meaning.

Writing and recording all of her music from her bedroom, Madilyn pairs her songs with hand drawn artwork and music videos, nearly all created by herself using a budget properly fit for a Target employee. Her conceptual EP titled ‘Where No One Knows My Name’ (2022), is a magical 6-track concoction that explores escapism in the form of a typical department store employee, dreaming of doing something more passionate and meaningful in life. Based on Madilyn’s real-life experiences, the songs connect in clever ways, weaving in and out of storybook anecdotes and relatable daydreams, while always culminating with some kind of wisdom shrouded in layers of metaphor.

Capitalizing on the virality of her single-take, new song performance videos on TikTok & Instagram, Madilyn Mei also received massive reactions to her latest songs “The Chapel” (released November 11, 2022), and “The Milk Carton” (released January 20, 2023).

And now Madilyn is taking the next step, first with her debut album “To Exist With You” (expected June 23, 2023) which features a long-awaited collaboration with singer-songwriter Addison Grace, as well as her own headlining tour which hits New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, and her hometown of Phoenix in summer, 2023.
