Meet Me Upstairs is a free, weekly dance party held in the Upstairs Lounge at Schubas. The event takes place on Fridays from 9pm to 1am. All are welcome.

COCOJOEY is a Chicago-based producer and performer who makes happy hyper-bitpop cybergrind fusion-type breakbeats inspired by cats, PSX-era pause menus, and ontological crises. Their latest album “COCOJOEY’S WORLD” features kaleidoscopic harmony, virtuosic keyboard performance, and densely orchestrated electronic layers wielded in the pursuit of finding joy and self-acceptance.

Known for highly energetic performances, COCOJOEY has quickly become a local mainstay. They have recently performed alongside artists such as HEALTH, Author&Punisher, Bubblegum Octopus, Lauren Bousfield, and Fraxiom. Recent releases include an official remix for Diana Starshine, and a feature on Fire-Toolz’ latest album Breeze.

Sharperheart often centers on themes such as compulsion, dissociation, and distorted intimacy. Charged atmospheric synths dominate tracks while fierce drum patterns push and pull them creating an experimental, electronic sound with heavy influences of darkwave and witch house. Sharperheart is set to release her debut LP “Everything Unreal” on August 8th via Sinkhole Sounds.
