Meet Me Upstairs is a free, weekly dance party held in the Upstairs Lounge at Schubas. The event takes place on Fridays from 9pm to 1am. All are welcome.

Walker Post developed a passion for house music in its birthplace, Chicago. He began producing music in high school before foolishly hitting pause for a decade.

During that time, Walker honed his skills in guitar, piano and drums. In the process, he reignited his passion for production. Now based in Brooklyn, NY, he channels these influences into electronic music, crafting tracks that blend the textures of deep house, progressive house, disco, downtempo, indie electronic and more.

Walker’s catalog is evolving fluidly across genres and reflecting his diverse musical interests. His soundscape is a testament to his multifaceted approach, bridging the rhythmic energy of house music with his instrumental prowess and passion for sampling little, beautiful moments in life.

Hot Take is a Chicago-based deejay whose fondness of peculiar sounds burns as strong as his distaste for top 40. Immersed in music from a young age, he was molded during his formative years by grunge and psychedelic/stoner rock before his preferred sound palette matured into the bassy dub and mesmerizing prog bits that you’ll now find scattered across a Hot Take set.

Hot Take has performed alongside modern heavyweights like HAAi, Darwin, and Maara as well as living legends Carl Craig and Derrick Carter. He is the co-founder of Chicago party series Flow State, who aim to highlight artists and sounds across the underground dance music spectrum unified by an innate ability to hypnotize dancefloors.

Hailing from the home of house music, Max Wagner is a DJ, producer, and music enthusiast whose soulful beats and infectious grooves have been igniting dance floors across Chicago. Drawing from the roots of house music, he pays homage to the disco era, channels the infectious energy of hip-hop, and embraces the sultry rhythms of Latin grooves.

Max had the honor and privilege of playing the mainstage at Chicago’s own North Coast Music Festival and has played other iconic venues such as Spybar, Soundbar, House Calls, Prysm, Tao, and Celeste. He has shared the stage with world-renown acts such as AC Slater, Tchami, Malaa, DJ Susan, Ben Hemsley, Aluna, Max Styler, Prunk, Autograf, MUUS, and Slushii. Max has also played gigs in San Diego, Austin, Denver, and Miami.

Max has displayed his passion for building community and supporting up-and-coming artists through his creation and development of Dusk Dance Music, an event series that features local talent in unique locations. If you’re an artist, be sure to check out DDM!
